Hi Tracy
Cakes look good and as you said a little cold.
Suggestion, Try using a grey card you can get these from photography shops like Camera World, Jessops & others or even from a magazine. Place within the image take your picture. Then you can adjust this in photoshop or other editing suites.
Your exposure can be corrected by using this grey card as well as it seems a little under exposed. then a touch of curves to give more contrast adding more saturation to the images giving greater depth. You could also us a great tool I use thats not cheap but good called the XpoBalance heres a video link.

All your images are slightly cold so you can give this treatment to all on them.
Hope this helps.
